EMPRESS PICKLES showed up on the porch of a local resident on one of those horrifically cold nights a couple weeks ago. She literally forced her way into the house, despite the large dog, small child and other cat living there. Pickles wanted IN. Sadly, the woman who took her in is highly allergic to cats. (It was discovered through an investigation that Pickles had been thrown out on the street by her former owner.) Pickles, who is spayed, loves being petted all over her head, face and neck, and she loves toys and chasing balled-up paper, pen caps, etc. To be a foster parent or adopt this beautiful, super-friendly girl: or 215-901-5789.
REESE IS A WINNER: Reese is a gentle 6 to 12-month-old tan brindle terrier mix who was found as a stray. The poor little girl is very timid, but once you get to know her, she begins to open up and shows how sweet she can be; she just needs a quiet home and a gentle hand to show her the world isn't so big and scary. Reese (a24741931) is at the ACCT Philly shelter, located at 111 W. Hunting Park Ave. Reese is vaccinated and will be spayed for adoption. More info about adopting or fostering at or
MEET SNUGGLES! She is a 7-year-old, altered female who is mostly black with an adorable silver trimmed muzzle. She is a bit shy at first but will come out of her shell with a little attention and becomes a loving purr-ball! She loves to climb right into your arms and be held. She was tested negative for FeLV and is vaccinated and spayed.
