Thanks to those who rescued cats

In this holiday season, we would like to thank the Chestnut Hill community for all of its support. As a small, local nonprofit with no government or corporate support, Brenda's Cat Rescue is grateful to many for helping us accomplish our mission to end cats’ suffering through rescue, sterilization, education and adoption.

With a handful of volunteers who work more than sleep, we have rescued more than 140 stray and injured cats and kittens in 2014.

Special thanks go to Len Lear and the Local for publishing our rescue cats photos and stories; to Bone Appetite and Weavers Way Across the Way (Mt. Airy) for allowing us to showcase our cats at monthly adoption events; to the businesses who have made room for our collection canisters; and to all the adopters who have opened their hearts and homes to our kitties.

We are always looking for adopters, foster homes, volunteers, vets and, of course, donations. Please check out our new web site at BrendasCatRescue.org and our Facebook page at www.facebook.com/brendascatrescue.

We wish all two- and four-legged creatures a safe, healthy, comfortable, peaceful and joyous new year.

P.S.: Please spay/neuter your pet. Please don't ignore a stray or injured animal. To report animal cruelty, call 1-866-601-SPCA.
