The following crimes are from the week of Oct. 14 to Oct. 26, 2014.

Oct. 14. Staples at 7700 block Germantown Avenue at 10 a.m. Retail theft. An AT&T LG Thrill cellphone valued at $450 was taken from store.

Oct. 19. 8523 Germantown Avenue. at 1:30 p.m. Theft. Complainant stated she was working at Antique Gallery when female came in store and distracted her. While distracted, a male accomplice reached under desk in front of store and stole from her purse. Two credit cards and $395 was taken. The credit cards were later used at Macy's. A video of the crime has been obtained.

Oct. 20. 8000 block Lincoln Dr. at 5 p.m. Theft from vehicle. An unknown person stole $20 in coins from 2004 Honda Civic. Car was ransacked. No forced entry.

Oct. 22. CVS at 7700 Germantown Avenue. at 2:30 p.m. Retail theft. Female entered store and stole $50 worth of cosmetics. Offender left store with another female and fled in a vehicle being driven by a male.

Oct. 24. 219 E. Willow Grove Avenue. at 3:39 p.m. Theft. A $137 dollar textbook was delivered to home but stolen.

Oct. 26. 8513 Germantown Avenue at 12:08 p.m. Theft. Complainant states that she put her purse down while in Starbucks, then discovered it was stolen by an unknown person. The purse contained one PNC Visa, a Social Security card, one set of house keys, one set of car keys and one INS card.

Summary – Six crimes reported: three thefts, two retail thefts and one theft from vehicle.
