The featured stop on the Sunday, Oct. 26, East Falls House Tour is the Roxboro House on the campus of Philadelphia University. The historic building is now the Arlen Specter Center for Public Service. It was built about 1800 and was the subject of a two-year-long comprehensive, $4 million renovation. Many items from the late Senator’s public service career will be on display, including photographs of him with presidents and world leaders.

Other stops on the tour include two homes that served as barns in the 18th and 19th centuries but have been enlarged and are now gracious homes. The 20th century homes range from a 1906 Tudor Revival home to a mid-century modern home designed by noted architect Irwin Stein. All the homes on the tour feature new kitchens.

The popular self-guided tour will be held Sunday, Oct. 26 from 12 noon to 4 p.m. Program books and maps may be picked up from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. that day at the East Falls Presbyterian Church, 3800 Vaux St. Tickets may also be purchased then for $25.

Order your tickets now at a discount. Purchase them online at www.eastfallscommunity.org and use PayPal. Tickets may also be ordered by sending a check for $20 per ticket to EFCC, PO Box 12672, Philadelphia, PA 19129. Deadline for the discount ticket offer is Oct. 22.
