The Chestnut Hill Local has won three awards in the 2014 Advertising Tearsheet Contest sponsored by the Pennsylvania Newsmedia Association Foundation.
The Local took a second-place award for its special Harry Potter section and received two awards for its Pastorius Park Concert Series advertising: one for best in its division (in competition with newspapers up to 25,000 circulation) and one for Best in Show, which included all divisions.
The Pastorius Park Ad was designed by Ray DeJohn, the Local’s production manager and the Harry Potter section was produced by both Ray and Cheryl Piehota, production assistant.
The awards were presented Sept. 18 at the PNA's 2014 Advertising Conference held in Lancaster.
