The Chestnut Hill Business District will host “Fashion and Food at the Fareway” on Friday, Sept. 19, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. with a fashion show, food samplings from local restaurants and live music. This free event will be held outside the Market at the Fareway, behind the newly-renovated Chestnut Hill Hotel at 8229 Germantown Avenue.
“Chestnut Hill is a fashion destination, with independent boutiques like Style Camp, recently named ‘Best of Philly 2014’ and nationally-acclaimed retailers like J. McLaughlin, located along beautiful Germantown Ave. Whether you are shopping for yourself or your family, Chestnut Hill has everything you need,” said Martha B. Sharkey, executive director of the Chestnut Hill Business District. “We are happy to invite our neighbors and visitors from around the region to join us on Friday, Sept. 19, for an evening of fashion, food and fun at the Market at the Fareway.”
Models will showcase fall clothing and accessories for men, women and children during an informal fashion show. Participating stores include Artisans on the Avenue, J. McLaughlin, Style Camp, Statement Boutique Consignment, Joseph A Banks, Villavillekula, and Delphine Gallery. Gravers Lane Gallery will highlight its artisan jewelry. Local salons 3000 BC, WellMed Spa and Salon 90 will offer chair massages and raffle gift baskets, respectively.
Guests can also catch a glimpse of what’s planned for Chestnut Hill’s upcoming Black & White Gala and purchase tickets for this much-anticipated event that will take place at the Philadelphia Cricket Club on Friday, Oct. 10.
