Gloria (Metzger) Gilbert Currie, 84, of St. David's, a fashion buyer for more than 20 years for Joseph deV. Keefe's, in Haverford, PA, died peacefully at Bryn Mawr hospital on August 3, 2014. She was preceeded in death by her late husband C. George Currie and former husband Theodore Voorhees Gilbert.

Gloria was born in Cheltenham and attended Cheltenham High School. She resided in St. David's for 46 years & summered in Eagles Mere, PA. She is survived by her 3 children, Theodore Voorhees Gilbert, Jr. (Susie), Jean Gilbert Walkup (Rich), John Gilbert (Karen), 6 grandchildren, a great-grandson and a sister.

Gloria was a long time supporter of the Devon Horse Show and member of the Devon Turf Club. She was an avid tennis player at Merion Cricket Club & Radnor Hunt, a golf enthusiast at Golf Mills & Gulf Stream, in FL, and a wonderful photographer. She loved a good game of Sniff, political discourse and taking care of her many dogs through out the years. She will be missed by her family and many friends.

A memorial service will be held at St. John's in the Wilderness Episcopal Church, Jones Ave, Eagles Mere, PA on August 23rd at 11:00. In the fall a memorial service will be held for her Main Line friends. The family suggests contributions to the Eagles Mere Conservancy, P.O.
