The 1966 comedy “Morgan – A Suitable Case for Treatment” will screen March 18 as part of Chestnut Hill Film Group's 'Tuesday Nights at the Movies.'
A London artist finds himself in a state of despair after his wife leaves him for another man. The self-admitted dreamer tries to escape from his reality by various unconventional methods, but to no avail, he cannot reconcile the mess he has made out of his life. With no way to escape from the world or his mind, the man spirals into madness.
Directed by Karel Reisz, the film stars David Warner, Vanessa Redgrave and Robert Stephens. The film was nominated for two Oscars – one for Vanessa Redgrave for Best Actress, the other for Best Costume Design.
The movie begins at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 11, at Woodmere Art Museum. Doors open at 6:30. Admission is free, although donations are recommended.
