Hill resident named CMO at Pepper Hamilton

Daniel P. Pulka, of Chestnut Hill, has been named chief marketing officer at the Center City law firm Pepper Hamilton LLP.

Pulka, a skilled professional services marketer, joined the firm in 2006 as director of marketing and was named interim chief marketing officer in August 2013. He has led the strategic marketing planning and business development for a number of the firm’s core practices.

He will be responsible for leading the firm’s marketing and business development efforts across all practices and geographies, and is based in Pepper’s Philadelphia office.

Before joining Pepper Hamilton, Pulka served from 2001-2006 as director of marketing for Right Management, the world’s largest career transition and organizational consulting firm. While there, he oversaw the tactical implementation of all marketing activities for the company’s lines of business around the world.

Before that, he served as marketing manager of StarCite.com (now ACTIVE StarCite) and as an account executive with AIG Marketing Inc. He began his career at The McClure Group (now DMW Direct).

Pulka holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the Perley Isaac Reed School of Journalism at West Virginia University. A 2002 graduate of Leadership Philadelphia’s Core Program, he is a member of the Legal Marketing Association and the Global Leadership Institute of the World Affairs Council. He sits on the Marketing Committee of Pennsylvania Bios Life Sciences Futures and is a member of the ContactEase Advisory Board of Cole Valley Software.
