The Education Delegation from Mutual Mount Airy, www.mutualmtairy.org, sent the following letter to City Councilwoman Cindy Bass.
Dear Councilwoman Bass. Thank you for meeting on January 14 with the Education Delegation from Mutual Mount Airy, www.mutualmtairy.org.
We were glad that you spoke favorably about most of our ideas for raising money for the Philadelphia Public Schools. We also understood why you are concerned by the difficulty of finding the required nine members of City Council willing to reform Philadelphia’s tax structure in order to provide more funding for our public schools.
Thank you for listening to us as we explained why we believe that such reform is necessary to generate the resources required for the education of our next generation.
We were impressed with the sincerity of your efforts to support public education, and we look forward to working with you in the future.

For Mutual Mount Airy
As we prepare to assemble our second round of emergency bags for our clients, we at Chestnut Hill Meals on Wheels would like to take a moment to thank Balance Chestnut Hill and Indigo Schuy for making us the beneficiary of their spinning event. On November 23, they hosted a team indoor-cycling race called Wheels for Meals. Not only did they raise a significant amount of money for us, but they also held a food drive. We are now distributing that food to our clients so that they will be prepared in case there is a day we cannot deliver meals due to weather. What a wonderful community we live in! We are so thankful for the support of local businesses.
Sincerely,
Kim Morris
Board President
