The following crimes are from the week of Dec. 1 to Dec. 7, 2013.

Dec. 3. 8400 block Germantown Avenue. Complainant states that she was shopping at store and put her Galaxy S-4 in a blue case (which also contained a Visa debit card issued by Valley Green Bank) on the counter and stepped away. Offender was seen on video picking up the phone and placed it in her bag. Offender black female, 5'2” - 5'5” tall, 130 lbs., with long black hair, blue pants and a tan jacket.

Dec. 3. 100 block E. Evergreen Avenue. Complainant states he parked his 2012 Hyundai and when he returned he found front and rear passenger side windows broken.

Dec. 3. 8500 block Germantown Avenue. Complainant states an unknown person broke the left side window of a 2005 Lexus RX330.

Dec. 4. 7700 block Germantown Avenue. Complainant states that a black female was observed removing merchandise from aisle and left store without paying. Black female, 41 – 45 years old, wearing a black shirt, black jeans, baseball cap and black Converse sneakers. Taken was four soap packs, four bottles of body wash, manicure kits and fragrances.

Dec. 4. 7700 block Germantown Avenue. Complainant states he was walking down aisle towards stock room when he noticed a woman with a huge handbag putting something in it and then she quickly left store. Complainant exited following her and crossed over to next lot. Complainant identified female as the one who stole merchandise. Offender, black female, 31 -35 years old.

Dec. 5. 200 block E. Evergreen Avenue. Complainant arrived home and found that someone had burglarized her home. A side window was forced open and rear kitchen door was found open. Several jewelry boxes were opened and tossed around. It is unknown at this time what was taken.

Dec. 7. 100 block E. Northwestern Avenue. Complainant states that between 2:45 p.m. and 4 p.m., an unknown person gained entry by breaking rear front window and stole a Red Croc Wallet, several credit cards, assorted medical cards and driver's license.

Dec. 7. 100 block E. Northwestern Avenue. Between 3 and 4 p.m., an unknown person broke into complainant's unattended vehicle and stole a black leather purse containing two debit cards, two credit cards, assorted identification, money and checkbook.

Dec. 7. 7 Valley Green Drive. Complainant states that an unknown person removed driver's side door handle to gain access to vehicle and stole a Galaxy phone an orange wallet, Pa. driver's license, First National Bank debit card and credit cards, green Mess Bag, perfumes and make-up.

Dec. 7. 400 E. Chestnut Hill Ave. Complainant and friend went for a walk in Fairmount Park and left their Ford Rent A Car, Florida, tag W713AC. They came back around 5 p.m. to find driver side rear window smashed and items missing. Taken was a Gregory Backpack containing clothes, a Wilson Black Leather jacket, brown canvas wallet with three credit cards and money.

Summary – Ten crimes for week: one burglary, two retail thefts, two thefts and five thefts from vehicles.
