Mount St. Joseph Academy field hockey captain Millie Stefanowicz, a four-year starter for the Magic, received word last week that she’ll be headed to the West Coast to continue her career. The 4.0 student and National Honor Society member has officially been accepted at Stanford University.

A playmaker in the midfield, Stefanowicz also scored 19 goals and gave out seven assists during her senior season. She helped the Magic win the Catholic Academies championship in 2010 and 2011.

Outside of the Mount, she has had a highly successful career with the WC Eagles club organization, helping the Under-19 team win the 2013 national club championship and winning other major titles while playing in the younger age categories. She has also participated in the Junior Olympics and in numerous National Futures tournaments.
