For the fourth year running, Chanukah Wonderland is coming to Chestnut Hill. This unique experience of Judaic activity and entertainment for children of all ages, offered completely free of charge, will be located right on Germantown Avenue from Thanksgiving Day, November 28 through Tuesday, December 3.

“The Chanukah Wonderland will provide families in the area with the opportunity for celebrating Chanukah in a very hands-on and engaging manner,” said Rabbi Yitzchok Gurevitz, director of Chabad of Northwest Philadelphia, the organization hosting and sponsoring this event.

The array of activities has been carefully planned to pique the interest of every age group. Some of the activities offered are Chanukah sand art, Dreidel shrinky dinks, cookie decorating, and a special ‘sensory toddler zone’. Both children and adults are welcome to stop in and celebrate the holiday with an activity or craft they can take home.

The Chanukah Wonderland will be open Thanksgiving Day from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.; Friday, November 29 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.; Sunday, December 1 from 12 to 4 p.m.; and Monday and Tuesday, December 2 and 3, from 3 to 6 p.m. The location for the Wonderland is 7932 Germantown Ave., near Willow Grove Ave.

An outdoor menorah lighting celebration will take place on Wednesday, November 27, at 6:30 p.m., at the Chestnut Hill Plaza, on Germantown Avenue near Cresheim Valley Drive. Hot latkes and cider will be served. All are welcome to join in the festivities celebrating the beginning of the eight-day holiday.

All activities are free, and there is no admission charge. For more information, call Rabbi Yitzchok Gurevitz at 215-847-9042 or visit www.chabadnwp.org.
