Our Mother of Consolation Parish School has recently been awarded a two-year, $30,000 grant from the Connelly Foundation.

The school, at 17 E. Chestnut Hill Ave., will use the grant money to expand its pre-kindergarten programs and to enhance its marketing effort.

Colleen Amuso, director of advancement at OMC, credits the faculty as a main reason that the school received the grant.

“This grant is a testament to the work and dedication of Father Bob Bazzoli, our pastor, Bruce Hagy, our principal, and the amazing faculty and staff at the school,” Amuso said. “It also validates the hard work that our parents and students do to make OMC the vibrant, thriving school it is.”

The Connelly Foundation, which awarded the grant to OMC and 10 other schools, provides grants to organizations and institutions working in education, health and human services, and arts and culture.

OMC Parish School will also participate with the other recipients in a “think tank,” where they will discuss the best ways to practice and increase the viability of all the schools in their missions.
