The building occupied by Prime Pacific Oriental Rug and Furniture Liquidators, at 8034-8040 Germantown Ave. – the former site of Diane Bryman Rugs – has been put up for sale.

SSH Real Estate, one of the largest real estate firms in the region, is offering the property for $1.75 million. Representatives of SSH told the Local that the shop will close when the building is sold, but that it will stay in business until someone buys the property. The building is currently owned by Edmond Azizi, owner and president of Prime Pacific.

Before it was Prime Pacific, the building was home to Diane Bryman Rugs, which opened in 1960 and closed in 2012. Azizi was the owner and president of that store as well.

Adam Gillespie, SSH senior vice president for investment services, said in a press release that he’s hoping to find a large retailer for the 11,000-square-foot store.

This location, according to Gillespie, offers a good opportunity for a business since it is right in the middle of Chestnut Hill, which he said was a “lively, walkable downtown business district.”
