The following crimes are from the week of July 14 to July 20, 2013.

July 14. 8500 block Germantown Avenue. Complainant states she put her wallet down to look at a shirt and when she looked up her wallet was gone. Taken was a brown Louis Vuitton wallet containing a social security card, driver's license, debit card, and money. Reported at 2:15 p.m.

July 14. 8200 block Germantown Avenue. Complainant states she left her engagement ring in her purse in hotel room and went to church to get married. When she returned to her room, her ring had been taken. Reported at 2 p.m.

July 16. 8500 block Germantown Avenue. Complainant states that while in coffee shop an unknown person removed her black Coach wallet from her handbag which was on floor and stole the wallet, a gift card and Pennsylvania driver's license. Reported at 4:40 p.m.

July 18. 700 block Valley Green Road. Complainant states that an unknown person broke the driver's side window and stole a photo album. Reported at 11 a.m.

July 18. 7700 block Crittenden Street. Loss prevention manager observed a black female concealing items in her personal bag and left store. Offender was detained for police to transport her to Northwest Detectives. Suspects date of birth 4/17/62.

July 18. 7700 block Crittenden Street. Loss prevention manager observed a black female concealing items in her personal bag and attempting to leave store. Offender, black female, was stopped and detained for police. Suspects date of birth 5/28/79.

July 19. Unit block Hampton Road. Complainant states that an unknown person stole a rose bush and two shrubs from front lawn. Reported at 10 a.m.

July 20. 7700 block Stenton Avenue Complainant states that she and her boyfriend had a party that started at 9 p.m. until early a.m. on July 20, and one of the guests stole a Rolex Datejust style watch with a diamond bezel and three Goldtone bangles.

Summary – Eight crimes for week: two retail thefts, one theft from vehicle and five other thefts.
