The following crimes are from the week of June 30 to July 6, 2013.

July 1. 8500 block Shawnee Street. Complainant was approached by a black male who pointed a small black semi-automatic handgun at her and said, “Give me your pocketbook and ring.” Male then ran westbound on Evergreen Avenue. Taken was a black Coach handbag containing various identifications, a library card, Chase and Bank of America cards, white gold ½ karat diamond engagement ring, house and car keys.

July 1. 8000 block Seminole Street. Complainant called police to report that he heard someone walking on the second floor just above him. He called upstairs and heard a loud banging noise. Complainant went upstairs and found rear office window open and flower pot that was on window sill was outside on lawn.

July 1. 8000 block Stenton Avenue. Complainant states that offender punched her several times causing her inner ear to bleed. She was also hit several times with umbrella. Complainant has been a victim of domestic assault for several years and was afraid to make police report.

Summary – Three crimes for week: one aggravated assault, one robbery and one attempted burglary.
