Friends of the Wissahickon (FOW), a nonprofit organization dedicated to working in and advocating for Wissahickon Valley Park, has elected three new members to its board of directors:

Christine Bamberger, of Mt. Airy, is co-owner of Best Nest, a home-staging company, and a previous board member of FOW in 2007, when she served on the Development Committee. As a member of the Garden Club of Philadelphia, she worked with a group of volunteers to restore Houston Meadow in Wissahickon Valley Park. She also co-chaired the 2013 Moonlight and Roses Gala at the Morris Arboretum.

David Dannenberg, a resident of Mt. Airy and a faculty member at the Crefeld School, has served on the board of directors of several organizations and was recognized as one of “50 Good Neighbors" upon the 50th anniversary of West Mt. Airy Neighbors. During his previous term of service on FOW's board from 2002 to 2011, he worked on the Sustainable Trails Initiative (STI), and the Oversight, Advocacy, and Conservation Committees.

Chris McCausland, of Lafayette Hill, works as a farmer at Erdenheim Farm in Whitemarsh Township. After attending college in South Carolina, he joined the Marine Corps and served in Iraq with the 6th Engineer Support Battalion. Today he works on his family's farm as a livestock manager. Before joining FOW's board, he served on its Conservation Committee.
