Morris Arboretum to hold summer solstice salsa party

The Morris Arboretum of the University of Pennsylvania will host a salsa concert for the summer solstice on Thursday, June 20. The concert will begin at 7 p.m. and pre-concert activities begin at 5:30 p.m.

The salsa dance band Café Con Pan Band, will perform for the crowd while Cheryl Ingram, owner of Lace It Up Dance Studio will give free salsa dance lessons to fans before the show.

Salsa and beer will be available from the Easton Salsa Company, giving fans the opportunity to taste the firm’s all natural products. Chestnut Hill’s Iron Hill Brewery will also be on-hand at the concert, with samples of its beers available.

Parking will be limited for this event. Advance purchase or carpooling is recommended. The cost per car for members is $20, while the cost per car for non-members is $25. Those who purchase a ticket on the day of the event will be charged $5 extra.
