Our Mother of Consolation Parish (OMC) Peace and Justice Committee presents, “Helping the Homeless & Needy in Philadelphia,” as part of its learning series on Catholic social teaching and current peace and justice issues.
On, Wednesday, May 1 from 7 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. in the OMC Chapel, 7 E. Chestnut Hill Ave., the Reverend Violet C. Little, Pastor of The Welcome Church, “A Church without Walls,” will speak on the experience of homelessness and how Philadelphians can help the homeless in the region. The Welcome Church is an Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) congregation that reaches out to people experiencing homelessness.
This event is free and open to the public. Everyone is welcome to attend for an enlightening presentation and informative discussion followed by light refreshments. For questions about the evening Session, please call OMC Parish Center at (215) 247-0430.
