Veganfest returns to Weavers Way from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday, March 17.
The Mt. Airy store, at 559 Carpenter Lane, will take the center stage for this event with lots of delicious and free vegan food, an outdoor marketplace offering green smoothies, jewelry, vegan soaps and body-care products, Weavers Way’s famed vegan grill and much more.
New this year will be a vegan- themed pop-up lounge at 555 Carpenter Lane with indoor seating, live music, spoken word, vegan resources, a preview of our upcoming course on food justice and a mini workshop on fermentation at 2 p.m.
Among the brands supplying free samples will be Alternative Baking Co., Field Roast Franks, Primal Strips, International Harvest Trail Mix and Granola, Lundberg Family Farms Rice Ships, Mary’s Gone Crackers, and Equal Exchange Coffee and Chocolate.
There will also be tons of free samples at our Across the Way store, including vegan dog biscuits featured in our Pet Supply department. And if you can’t get to Mt. Airy, our Chestnut Hill store will be featuring a variety of free samples and demos, live music, and a full vegan hot bar and vegan taco special. So put down that burger (unless it’s a veggie burger, of course), and come see how much fun meat-free can be.
