The series, led by Paul Reagan Ph.D., a professor of history at both Temple and Villanova universities, will examine the fundamental tenets, teachings and traditions of Catholicism and is aimed at both Catholics and non-Catholics alike. It will begin with a showing of “Catholicism,” a documentary produced by the Rev. Robert Barron, rector of Mundelein Seminary near Chicago.
Each session will be offered twice: 12 Mondays, from 6:45 to 8 p.m.,and 12 Thursdays from 7:30-9 p.m. in OMC's school library. The sessions will run from February to November of 2013. Not all sessions are required since attendees can pick and choose which seminars they are most interested in.
All seminars are free, but a companion book is recommended. The the book can be ordered when registering or on Amazon for $28. Persons interested are asked to register at www.omcparish.com, although walk-ins are welcome. For further information, contact Paul Reagan at paul.reagan@villanova.edu or visit www.wordonfire.org.
