The Germantown Republican Club is proud to host the 124th Annual Lincoln Day Dinner on February 12, 2013 at 6:30pm at The Racquet Club of Philadelphia, 215 South 16th Street, Philadelphia, PA. Tickets are $65 per person. The Club celebrates being a republican and presents its coveted Lincoln Award to the Honorable James E. Nevels.

Mr. Nevels has nearly thirty years experience in the securities and investment industry, and founded The Swarthmore Group, an investment advisory firm, in 1991. From 2001 to 2007, he served as Chairman of the Philadelphia School Reform Commission. Mr. Nevels was also a former director of the Tasty Baking Company from 2005 to 2011. He is currently President of the Pennsylvania Society. He is also the non-executive Chairman of the Board of The Hershey Company, and a member of the Board of the Hershey Trust Company and the Milton Hershey School. Mr. Nevels graduated cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Bucknell University with a bachelor’s degree in political science and philosophy, earned a Masters of Business Administration from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Pennsylvania Law School.

The Germantown Republican Club is the oldest operating Republican Social Club in the country. We are a social club of Republicans from the Northwest. We do not endorse candidates and we do not fund campaigns. The club lives on for good times to talk politics, share food and hear speakers. All Republicans are welcome to join.
