Seeded second for the FSL playoffs, GFS easily advanced past number three George School by a 4-1 count in an October 26 semifinal match. Junior Schuyler Nissen scored twice and senior Katherine Walden and sophomore Greta Meyer fired the other two goals, while Myran shared time in the cage with sophomore Schuyler Alig.

In the league championship game last Thursday, visiting GFS fell victim to a successful penalty kick and succumbed to top-seeded Friends Central, 1-0. The Tigers ended their season in the opening round of the Pa. Independent Schools Championships the following afternoon.

Seventh-seeded Germantown hosted the contest, but number 10 Notre Dame avenged its regular-season loss with a 1-0 win in the rematch. The Tigers will be back largely intact next year, losing only Walden and senior classmate Sophie Mercuris off of the 2012 roster.
