The Chestnut Hill Historical Society is pleased to host its Annual Meeting featuring guest speaker Inga Saffron, Architectural Critic for The Philadelphia Inquirer.

Ms. Saffron’s widely-read column, “Changing Skyline” covers topics ranging from design review of specific buildings; to the challenges of maintaining a sense of walkability and urbanity in an increasing homogenized car-oriented culture, to preserving the sense of place in distinctive Philadelphia neighborhoods.

The program is Sunday, Oct. 28, in the Wissahickon Room of Springside Chestnut Hill Academy, 500 West Willow Grove Ave. The business meeting, including board of directors election, begins at 4 p.m., followed by the speaker program at approximately 4:30 p.m. There is no admission, and all CHHS members, as well as the general public, are welcome to attend.

RSVPs are appreciated, but not required. Please contact Audrey Simpson at 215-247-0417, ext. 103 or at info@chhist.org. Light refreshments will be served.
