The Night Market – a local foodie festival featuring the region's best food trucks – returns to Mt. Airy on Thursday, Aug. 16, from 6 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.
“We are so excited to bring Night Market back to Mt. Airy,” said Elizabeth Moselle, director of Commercial Corridor Revitalization for the Business Association of Mt. Airy (BAM). “This year’s event will be twice the size of last year’s with over 45 food and beverage vendors, crafts and amazing live musical performances.”
This year's event features a number of musical acts: The Reckless Amateurs, Ginger Coyle and Ryan Shaw.
“88.5 WXPN–FM is excited to be a part of this year’s Mt. Airy Night Market,” said Debby Seitz, marketing manager at WXPN–FM. “We’re looking forward to bringing the music to the Night Market stage including Ryan Shaw whose soulful R&B and over-the-top showmanship will wow the crowd, adding additional energy to this already thriving event.”
To help combat the parking issues from last year, Moselle said attendees can park at one of the designated lots. Self-parking will be available at Lutheran Theological Seminary, 7301 Germantown Ave., or New Covenant Church, 7500 Germantown Ave. for $5. Valet parking will be available for $8. A shuttle bus will transport attendees from New Covenant Church to the event.
This year's attendees can have the ultimate Night Market experience by purchasing The Friends of Mt. Airy Night Market Pass for $35. Pass holders get free drinks all night long and reserved seating at Lovett Park, Germantown Avenue and Sedwick Street. Drinks will be provided by Yards Brewery, Philadelphia Distilling and Penns Woods Winery.
