Crime Report: Three Burglaries, two thefts and a stolen vehicle is found

The following crimes are from the week of June 24 to June 30.

June 24. Unit Block Summit Street. Between midnight and 5:30 a.m., someone gained entry through a rear window and took two Apple laptops, a silver ring, an orange backpack and an orange leather purse containing credit cards, driver's license. June 24. 200 Block E. Evergreen Avenue. Someone broke the rear, driver's side window and gained entry to a 2008 Ford Explorer. Taken was a TomTom GPS and a pair of Ray-Ban sunglasses. Reported at 11:20 p.m. June 25. 7800 Block Devon Street. A woman said that she left her home at 7:30 a.m. and returned at 6 p.m. to find her front door open. She did not enter. She then noticed that her recycling bin had been placed under her dining room window and the window was open. She called police, and when the police arrived, they entered and found the second floor bedroom ransacked. Taken was a MacBook Pro laptop. Reported at 7:30 p.m. June 25. Unit Block E. Bells Mill Road. A woman reported that she found the front, passenger-side window of her 1994 Lexus broken. She did not think anything was taken. June 25. Unit Block E Chestnut Hill Ave. Reported: Someone entered a parish school classroom and took a purse containing money, assorted gift cards, driver's license and health insurance cards. Reported at 4:15 p.m. June 27. 7900 Block of Germantown Avenue. Store manager reports that a man placed a $100 bill for a purchase on the counter. While she was making change, the man took back the $100 bill. The man took $74.08 in change and left the store with the change and his $100 bill. He did not take the item he said he wanted to purchase. June 28. Unit Block Hilltop Road. A woman showed up at her office and found several rooms had been ransacked. Entry appears to have been made through a side window, under which a chair had been placed to gain entry. The woman said that while her file cabinets had been opened, nothing appears to have been taken. Reported at 11:15 a.m. June 28. Intersection of Germantown and Springfield avenues. A man reported that he had found his car, which he had previously reported stolen. The car, a 1994 Chrysler Eagle, was found at the intersection of Germantown and Willow Grove avenues. June 28. 8600 block Germantown Avenue. Reported: A car owner found that money and a pair of Mykita glasses missing from car. The car's doors had been left open.
