A crowd of some 50 spectators joined VFW post 5205 in Chestnut Hill as it conducted its annual Memorial Day ceremonies today.

Every year the post pays tribute to fallen soldiers at the Vietnam War memorial at Buckley Park, The World War II memorial at the Water Tower on Ardleigh Street and the Word War I memorial at Winston Road and Germantown Avenue.

Following the ceremony, members of the post planned on a lunch at their headquarters, 8217 Germantown Avenue.

The video below features VFW Post commander James McCafferty and Chaplain Thomas Brunt conducted the World War II ceremony, which was followed by a rifle salute.
