Editor's note: We erred and reran the crime report for the week of April 15 twice in a row. The following is two weeks of crime reports, bringing us up to date.

The following crimes are from April 22 to May 5, 2012.

April 23. 8200 block Germantown Avenue. Complainant states that between 5:30 a.m. and 8 a.m., an unknown person broke a window in the Farmer’s Market and entered the building. Offender stole turkey, ham and salami. and damaged cash registers of other businesses. It is unknown at this time if any money was taken.

April 23. 7700 block Stenton Avenue. Manager of apartments stated he was informed that at 12:15 p.m. an apartment was found heavily damaged. When police arrived they found furniture was thrown around. Bleach was poured on furniture and clothing.

April 26. 500 block W. Willow Grove Avenue. Between 11:58 a.m. and 12:15 p.m. on April 21, video shows male, a former employee, taking eleven iPads.

April 27. 7700 block Crittenden Street. Complainant states that an unknown male walked out of store with 20 bags of shrimp without paying for merchandise. Black male, 20 to 30 years old, 6’2” tall, 180 lbs., wearing a dark colored outfit.

April 28. 100 block Benezet Street. Complainant states that he came downstairs to find rear kitchen window open and frame damaged. Police found pry marks around window and a plant in the backyard which was originally in the kitchen.

April 30. Newton St. and Bethlehem Pike. Between 7 a.m. and 8 p.m., an unknown person stole a blue 1999 Jeep Cherokee, Pennsylvania tag HNB7814.

April 30. 200 block E. Mermaid Lane. Complainant states that between 9 a.m. and when she returned home, an unknown person damaged the rear door lock and stole jewelry, a laptop computer, camera, sunglasses, rings, gold and silver ring with star on it, pearl necklace and coin jar.

May 2. Unit block E. Chestnut Hill Avenue. Complainant states that an unknown person stole a white eight-diamond ring. Other people had access to house right before theft.

May 3. 7800 block Roanoke Street. Police were called to location for burglar alarm going off and observed glass broken on back door. Police observed drawers and jewelry boxes disturbed in front bedroom. It is unknown at this time what was taken.

May 3. 200 block E. Willow Grove Avenue. Complainant states that between 12 and 5 p.m., an unknown person attempted to force entry through rear door to apartment. Entry was not made.

May 4. 200 block E. Willow Grove Avenue. Complainant states that between 9:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., an unknown person stole a MACBook computer.

May 4. Complainant states he was selling his bike on the Internet and male answered ad and gave complainant twelve $100 bills. Complainant states that male jumped on bike and fled. Complainant states that dollar bills were fake. Complainant still has registration, title and bill of sale. Offender, black male, 21 – 25 ears old, wearing a blue hoodie and black sweat pants.

May 5. 7 Valley Green Road. Complainant states that between 3:45 and 5 p.m., an unknown person broke the rear window to his 2002 Lexus and stole the following items: burlap bag containing one bottle of champagne, hammer, numerous picture frames, one purse containing eyeglasses with case, wallet containing money, two debit credit cards, Texas driver’s license, Texas government identification, medical cards, car keys, loose diamonds, suitcase containing money, kindle, shoes, Dell laptop, one iPad, Panasonic Lumix camera, two iPods and a make-up bag.

May 5. 400 block E. Gravers Lane. Complainant states that between 5 and 8:45 p.m., an unknown person kicked in front door and stole a 32” Samsung TV, 40” Panasonic TV, earrings, digital camera and money.

May 5. 8600 block Germantown Avenue. Complainant states he was helping a customer when another male customer was observed removing camera from case and leaving store. Male went southbound on Germantown Ave. and went westbound on Evergreen Ave. Offender, black male, 50 plus years old, gray hair, gray beard, 200 lbs., wearing an orange windbreaker.

Summary — Fiftheen crimes for period: nine burglaries, one stolen vehicle, two retail thefts, two thefts and one theft from vehicle.
