March 18. 100 block E. Hartwell Lane. Between 6:30 and 8:15 p.m., someone forced open a rear kitchen window and stole a Mac laptop, a gift card, one gray bicycle, various pieces of jewelry and money.
March 18. 200 block E. Willow Grove Avenue. Complainant states that he and his girlfriend got into an argument. During the argument, she threw a plate at him, hitting the left side of his neck and causing a small gash.
March 18. 200 block W. Gravers Lane. Police noticed a front door had been forced open. They walked through the property. Various pieces of jewelry were taken.
March 19. 200 block E. Gravers Lane. Complainant states that on Feb. 29 she was scheduled to receive a U.S. Passport for which she paid to expedite early delivery. It was not delivered on Feb. 29. She also didn’t receive a number of other deliveries, including a three-book set from Amazon, shoes, a Piperlime gift card and Ann Taylor clothes.
March 20. 9700 block Germantown Avenue. Complainant states that an intruder was observed on the fourth floor living area without permission. The intruder said he was looking for security and then left the building, walking towards Northwestern Avenue. A check was done a little later and it was found that money, one gold chain with a gold cross and a gold chain with a gold charm were missing. Reported at 9:30 a.m.
March 20. Unit block Summit Street. Complainant states that an unknown person broke driver’s side window and stole a pair of sunglasses. Reported at 9:30 p.m.
March 21. Unit block E. Chestnut Hill Avenue. Complainant states that the following items were stolen: one Hamilton gold watch, one 1950 Lord Elgin gold watch, money, one silver ring with seal of Oblates of St. Francis de Sales. Reported at 6:30 p.m.
March 22. 8200 block Stenton Avenue. Complainant states that between 11 and 11:05 a.m., someone entered vehicle through the window of a 2002 Mercury Mountaineer. Complainant states that window was left open a little for complainant’s small dog. Doors were locked. Taken were a Pioneer DVD player and one DVD. Reported at 11:15 a.m.
March 23. 8100 block Devon Street. Complainant arrived home at approximately 11:12 a.m.. to find front door ajar and four intruders who fled the house through a rear, second-floor window. Two of the men fled westbound on Hartwell Lane and two fled southbound from 8100 Devon St. in a silver Ford Taurus. The men had taken a DVD player and laptop computer but left them in the backyard.
March 23. Unit block W. Bells Mill Road. Complainant states she parked her 2006 Jeep Liberty and when she returned, found her rear window smashed and her GPS stolen.
March 24. Unit block W. Bells Mill Road. Complainant states she parked her silver KIA at 10:30 a.m. and one hour later discovered that someone had stolen her bag containing driver’s license, medical cards and personal information.
Summary — Eleven crimes for week: one aggravated assault, four burglaries, two thefts and four thefts from vehicles.
