Stewart McConaghy of Mt. Airy passed away peacefully on January 25, 2012 at the age of 86. A graduate of Germantown High, Stewart served in the Navy during WWII in the Pacific. Following the War, he graduated from the Philadelphia College of Textiles and Sciences where he later served as trustee. He worked for EI Dupont for 39 years in the Textile Division. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Zena; sons Stewart and Drew; a daughter, Diane; his brother Richard and 6 grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at the Chapel of Peace at West Laurel Hill Cemetery on Feb 18 at 2 pm. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the charity of your choice.
