Oct. 10. Unit block W. Bells Mill Road. An unknown person entered a 2000 Buick Park Avenue and stole a Pa. driver’s license, school books, cell phone, debit bank card, keys, wallet and clothing.
Oct. 11. Unit block E. Mermaid Lane. Complainant states that while walking her dog with her boyfriend, they were approached from behind by an unknown offender who forced them into driveway in the unit block of Mermaid Lane at point of a large black handgun. Taken was a PNC debit card, iWork issue media patch, iPhone #4, light blue purse with chain link straps, one wallet, one press pass, Pa. driver’s license, voter’s registration card and a corporate debit card. Offender, black male, dark complexion, approximately 6’ tall, 175 lbs., 40 to 50 years old, wearing a black hooded jacket and dark pants. Reported at 10 p.m.
Oct. 11. 7700 block Stenton Avenue. Complainant states she was lying on her bed when offender came to her window and cut screen with a knife. She yelled to offender to go away and he said, “My bad wrong apartment.” Offender then walked out of view and got into a new model BMW station wagon and fled southbound on Stenton Avenue towards Mermaid Lane. Complainant states she had never seen offender before. Black male, 30’s, 6’ tall, medium build, goatee, wearing a black t-shirt and black pants.
Oct. 11. 300 East Willow Grove Avenue. Complainant states she discovered front window screen had been ripped off and was lying under a bush. Complainant did not make police report but made management aware of incident. There had been numerous burglary reports during month of August.
Oct. 11. 7700 block Stenton Avenue. Complainant states that between 7:30 a.m. and 5 p.m., an unknown person entered through sliding glass window that was forced open. Apartment was ransacked and the following items stolen: one Samsung 42” flat screen TV, one RCA 32” flat screen TV, one Glock 38 cal. pistol, a .45 cal. pistol, $5000, one P53 with movie, one Toshiba laptop, one HP laptop, one Epson printer and one terabyte memory.
Oct. 12. 8400 block Ardleigh Street. Between 6:30 a.m. on Oct. 11 and 6 a.m. on Oct. 12, an unknown person stole a Thule bike rack from a blue 2007 Audi.
Oct. 13. 102 East Mermaid Lane. Complainant states that an unknown person stole a black handbag with approximately $200 in cash, Coach wallet, digital camera, and keys to her purse which was in file cabinet. Reported at 4:30 p.m.
Oct. 13. 500 West Willow Grove Avenue. Complainant states that between 4:30 and 6:30 p.m., an unknown person went into gym office and stole a MacBook Pro 13” laptop and charger, Serial No. #17FvGTBDHZG.
Oct. 14. Unit block West Hartwell Lane. Complainant states he terminated employee when he found a MacBook computer missing from office. Fired was a black male, 16 to 20 years old, residing in 2100 block Berrolo Avenue, Abington, Pa.
Oct. 15. 7800 block Winston Road. Between 6 and 9 p.m., home was burglarized through front window. Taken was jewelry and $120.
Summary — Ten crimes for week: four burglaries, three thefts and two thefts from vehicles.
