Magarity plans” a monstrosity”
As a member of the Community Association and as a concerned member of our "neighborhood", I am writing to express my utter distaste for the proposed 5-story monstrosity to replace "Magarity."
I respect the need for commercial development, but there must be an associated measure of social value to the community. The proposed venture is totally out of character with Chestnut Hill. Other than meeting the commercial interests of the developers, I see little in the way of value to our communal interest, and certainly nothing to commend it esthetically.
I would urge that the Community oppose this development, utilizing the strogest legal remedies available to us. Chedtnut Hill must not sit idly by and permit the erection of a monstrosity in our midst.
