The following crimes are from the week of Aug. 14 to Aug. 20, 2011.

Aug. 15. 7900 block St. Martin’s Lane. Complainant states she left her bike locked and chained, and when she returned four days later the 10-speed bike was gone.

Aug. 15. 9600 block Germantown Ave. Complainant states that between 3:30 p.m. on Aug. 12 and 6:45 a.m. on Aug. 15, an unknown person gained entry through maintenance shop and stole a safe containing money, large amounts of copper pipes, couplings, adapters, other copper items and a hand truck.

Aug. 15. 8800 block Crefeld Street. Complainant states that she left her vehicle unlocked and someone stole an iPod. Reported at 7 p.m.

Aug. 15. 100 block Highland Ave. Complainant states that he contacted ComputerQuest.com to service his laptop. On Friday, Aug. 12, a white male by the name of Rob came to see computer but said he would have to come back at another time. On Aug. 15, front door left unlocked and computer was missing.

Aug. 16. Complainant states she was working at hospital and she placed her red wallet in her purse behind counter. She checked her purse at 3 p.m. and found her wallet was missing. Complainant states that a charge was made with credit card from wallet.

Aug. 18. 200 block E. Willow Grove Ave. Complainant states that an unknown black male vaginally raped her inside his car. Male, 31–35 years old, 6’1” tall, heavy build, brown complexion, short haircut.

Aug. 18. 8000 block Germantown Ave. Complainant states that offender came into store and pointed a black and gray semiautomatic handgun and began demanding money. When complainant told offender to “go check out register” offender refused and was hesitant to approach counter. Offender then decided to leave and fled southbound on Germantown Ave. towards Willow Grove Ave. Nothing was taken.

Aug. 20. 600 block W. Hartwell Lane. Complainant states that offenders took her bike from shed and then posted a picture on Facebook showing them riding bike. Names of offenders withheld because of age.

Aug. 29. 7700 block Germantown Ave. Between 12:50 and 2:12 p.m., an unknown person broke right front window to a black 1993 Toyota Camry and stole some paperwork from glove box and some change.

Aug. 20. 7700 block Stenton Ave. Complainant states that an unknown person stole a blue Honda Civic, Pennsylvania tag GBC5737.

Summary — Ten crimes for week: one rape, one robbery, two burglaries, one stolen vehicle, three thefts and two thefts from vehicles.
