Imagine this: John Lennon’s artwork will be on display in Manayunk for the first time on this weekend, from June 17 through 19. Nearly 100 different drawings and songwriting lyrics by Lennon, including four new releases, will be shown.  All proceeds will benefit North Light Community Center, a nonprofit that has supported youth development, strengthened families and built communities for 75 years. Lennon’s artwork is comprised of quick sketches, free-hand drawings, caricatures and illustrations that illuminate his keen sense of observation, wit and profound irony. They have gained worldwide acclaim for Lennon’s insight into his life, outlook on the world and innermost thoughts and feelings. For the past 20 years, Yoko Ono Lennon and Legacy Productions have brought John’s artwork to hundreds of thousands of people throughout the United States.
