FOW welcomes new board members

The Friends of the Wissahickon, a nonprofit organization dedicated to working in and advocating for Wissahickon Valley Park, has elected five new members to its Board of Directors. Sam Finney (Roxborough) is President of Fastlane Construction Software, Inc., which develops and sells software to the construction industry. Shirley Gracie (Chestnut Hill), a returning board member and former realtor, has served as FOW’s Vice-President, Co-Chair of the CHHS/FOW Easement Committee, and Chair of the Valley Green Inn Oversight Committee. John Kelly (Chestnut Hill) is Vice President at Mount Lucas Management Corp. Formerly he worked at Credit Suisse and Donaldson Lufkin Jenrette, where he held the position of relationship manager in the private bank division. Jerome Maddox (Mt. Airy) is currently Assistant General Counsel at ARAMARK and is a specialist in Antitrust and Mass Tort Litiagtion. Previously, he was an attorney at Dechert LLP and an Assistant Professor in the Department of Political Science at the University of Pennsylvania and at Stanford University. David Pope (Chestnut Hill) is also a returning board member. He first joined FOW’s Board in 1990, served as Board President from 1992 to 1998, and led FOW in policy and program development and an investigation into park use and habitat decline that became the Sustainable Trails Initiative.
