Crowds come for the chili contest

[caption id="attachment_4224" align="aligncenter" width="430" caption="Carl Drake, of Drake's Gourmet Catering (left) is awarded first place by Deputy Commissioner John Devlin (right)."][/caption] Chili enthusiasts packed the Brossman Center of the Lutheran Theological Seminary on Sunday March 27.for the Chestnut Hill Rotary Club’s first ever Chili Cook Off. Philadelphia Fire Department Deputy Commissioner John Devlin congratulated Carl Drake of Drake’s Gourmet Catering. His entry impressed the fire fighters of Engine 9 Ladder 21 in Mount Airy and Engine 37 in Chestnut Hill, who were official judges of the Cook Off. They awarded Drake with first place.
