This weekend, March 18 and 19, at 7:30 p.m., the Wissahickon Skating Club will present its 2011 ice skating show -- Wisscapades Around the World.
Skaters of all ages and abilities are welcome to join for this family-friendly event. Whether you are a figure skater, hockey players or just someone who enjoys ice skating, come down to the rink this weekend.
There will be a multitude of exciting performers including the National contending synchronized skating team, Philadelphia Symmetry, and Emmanuel Savary, a 13-year-old national singles skater who is considered a potential Olympic contender.
In addition to those two performances, the senior-level ice dance team of Katharine Zeigler and Baxter Burbank, and Kirsten Seagers, a high school senior who competes nationally as a Junior Lady.
The Wissahickon Skating Club is at 550 W. Willow Grove Ave., at the corner of Willow Grove Ave and Cherokee Street, in Philadelphia, 19118.
Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for ages 4 through 12. Ages 3 and younger are free. Special Gold and Silver Patron tickets are also available. Tickets will be sold at the door, subject to availability.
