Lura Anne McKinney Long of Wyndmoor died peacefully in her sleep Monday, January 31. She was 87. She was the beloved wife of 52 years of the late Lloyd E. Long. Besides her family, her greatest interest was being a member of the Volunteer Guides of the Philadelphia Museum of Art from 1961 to 1984. She also held other positions within the Guides Office. She is survived by her three children: Katherine Long Lit (Barry), Lloyd E. Long Jr. (Barbara), and Jane Long Cohen (Peter). Also survived by her grandchildren, Lloyd E. Long III (Michelle), Timothy J. Long, Chelsea K. Cohen, and Audrey K. Cohen. Also survived by her
sisters, Mary Lee Cope, Nancy M. McNeil, Ruth Frances Balderston, Joan Morrow King and many nieces and nephews. Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to the Volunteer Guides of the Philadelphia Museum of Art.
