The following crimes are from the week of Feb. 20 to Feb. 26, 2011.

Feb. 20. 8200 block Germantown Avenue. Complainant states that an unknown person broke the passenger side window to a white 2004 Ford F150 and stole various tools. Reported at 6 p.m.

Feb. 21. 200 block E. Willow Grove Avenue. Complainant states that an unknown person entered a silver 2006 Honda Accord and stole a Seagate external hard drive and iPod. Driver’s side window was left open. Reported at 2 p.m.

Feb. 22. 8200 block Crefeld Street. Complainant states that while she was in kitchen she turned around and observed offender who had entered home through an unlocked front door. Complainant observed him creeping through foyer when she screamed causing offender to run out of house through front door. Offender, black male, 26 – 30 years old, 180 – 200 lbs., wearing a navy blue sweater with yellow stripes on sleeves and blue pants. Reported at 7 p.m.

Feb, 22. 7800 block Germantown Avenue. Complainant states that between 6:30 and 9 p.m., an unknown person broke into a gray 2009 Audi and stole an iPhone.

Feb. 22. 100 block W. Mermaid Lane. Complainant states that between 7 and 10:15 p.m., an unknown person broke the right rear window of a black 2009 Land Rover and stole an Apple Macbook laptop.

Feb. 22. 200 block W. Willow Grove Avenue. Complainant states that between 7 and 9:25 p.m., an unknown person broke the driver’s side window to a 2000 Volkswagen Jetta and stole an Apple laptop, Airmatt and an iTouch.

Feb. 22. 100 block E. Hartwell Lane. Complainant states that an unknown person broke the right front window of a silver Chrysler and stole a shoulder bag containing a debit card and a Blue Cross card. Reported at 12 p.m.

Feb. 24. Unit block Benezet Street. Complainant states that an unknown person entered home and stole a black purse containing two credit cards, one MAC laptop and money. No sign of forced entry. Reported at 5 p.m.

Feb. 24. 200 block W. Evergreen Avenue. Complainant states he was working in basement when he heard a noise in kitchen so he yelled his wife’s name and got no answer. When he came up from basement, offender ran out back door taking a 3-G iPhone and handbag. Reported at 9 p.m.

Feb. 25. Unit block Summit Street. Between 9 p.m. on Feb. 24 and 10 a.m. on Feb. 25, an unknown person broke the passenger side window and stole a glass lamp shade which was on rear seat.

Feb. 25. 9000 block Germantown Avenue. Complainant states that an unknown person broke the passenger side window of a silver 2004 Volkswagen and stole a Hewlett Packard laptop. Reported at 7 p.m.

Feb. 25. 400 block Springfield Avenue. Complainant states that between 7:45 and 20:51 p.m., an unknown person entered her 2002 Mini Cooper and stole a gray Hewlett Packard laptop.

Summary — Twelve crimes for week: three burglaries and nine thefts from vehicles. Please lock doors to both homes and vehicles. Put everything in trunk. Everything has some value and can be sold.
