A good dose of snow caught the region by surprise with a good 4 to 5 inches of slippery stuff before 8 a.m. Schools in Philadelphia were not cancelled this morning, but Philadelphia Public Schools have scheduled early dismissal for noon today.
Otherwise, Chestnut Hill seemed to be largely open for business as usual.
