The following crimes are from the week of Jan. 2 to Jan. 8, 2011.
Jan. 3. 8000 block Roanoke Street. Complainant states he came home at 9 p.m. and found rear kitchen door partially open and second floor bedroom drawers pulled open,. Taken was a pillow case and a black Hewlett Packard computer. Point of entry was front door where glass panes were broken.
Jan. 3. Unit block Summit Street. Complainant states that an unknown person broke the front window of an Audi and stole an MP3 player and connector. Reported at 9 p.m.
Jan. 3. L7700 block Crittenden Street. Manager of store states that offender took shopping cart full of various items and left store without paying. Complainant chased offender who then left cart and kept running. Items were recovered. Occurred at 11:22 a.m.
Jan. 4. Unit block Summit Street. Complainant states that an unknown person broke the driver side window of a 2000 gold Toyota Avalon and stole money and a knife.
Jan. 5. 8200 block Germantown Avenue. Complainant states she was taking pictures of her daughter when an unknown person reached into coach stroller and stole a pocket book containing money, credit cards and identification.
Jan. 6. 100 block W. Moreland Avenue. Complainant states that an unknown person stole a purse containing hospital identification, checkbook, medical card and money from a green 2000 Jeep Liberty.
Jan. 8. 8600 block Germantown Avenue. Police responded to radio call to investigate broken window on side of restaurant. Police found cash register on floor and an open safe at bar in front of restaurant.
Summary — Seven crimes for week: two burglaries, two thefts and three thefts from vehicles. Keep doors and windows locked to homes and vehicles. Town Watch, 215-248-1320.
