Get a head start on your holiday shopping at the 2nd Annual Norwood-Fontbonne Academy’s Parents Association (NFAPA) Market Day. Held on Friday, Nov. 19, and Saturday, Nov. 20, the event will be a free shopping bonanza with fun for the whole family!

The event will be held in The Commons Building on the Academy’s Fontbonne campus. This building is accessible from East Bells Mills Road between Germantown and Stenton Avenues or at the corner of Sunset and Norwood Avenues.

In a festive holiday atmosphere, vendors will be selling clothing, home décor, jewelry, culinary tools, toys, books, homemade crafts, sporting goods and much more!

“We are thrilled with the vendors who are coming to Market Day,” said co-chair Sue Leonard. “We have such a great variety that we know our shoppers will definitely be able to find something for everyone on their list.”

Leonard encourages parents to come by on Friday night for an enjoyable evening out. Complementary wine and cheese will be served as guests get an early opportunity to purchase the wide selection of goods for sale. Saturday is designed as a family shopping day. Open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., there will be craft and other activities for children.

In addition to finding the perfect holiday gifts, shoppers can buy something special for themselves as well. Arbonne representatives will sell personal care and wellness products “to preserve and enhance skin, body and mind for an integrative approach to beauty.” Monika Schermer of Arbonne comments, “Our products are great for women who want to look their best, give their skin the purest products possible and want to see real results quickly.”

ABC Designs of Wyndmoor sells made-to-order, handcrafted, personalized baby blankets, bibs, and pillows, each made with choice of fabric and applique. Customers love to see babies’ names embroidered on color fabrics, but her work is not just for the children.

After ordering customized bibs and blankets for the little one or personalized fleece blankets and hooded sweatshirts with high school or college logos for the older children, take time to get new personalized towels for your bathroom! “I really love doing the NFA show because it draws customers interested in our entire product line,” says owner Betsy Claghorn. She adds that all orders placed at Market Day will be produced by Christmas. Hill retailers exhibiting at Market Day include Chestnut Hill Sporting Goods and Lemons and Limes.

Market Day is free and open to everyone. For more information, contact Market Day co-chair Sue Leonard at suedoney@verizon.net or call 215-266-2095.
